Up for sale today is a dvd not everybody knows about. This dvd features Todd Tuckey, president of TNT Amusements, located in Southampton, PA. Todd started as a collector of videogames and pinball machines. In, January, 1985, launched his business, TNT Amusements, featuring some of the finest restorations of arcade related items.

This auction is for a 1 hr. infomercial about TNT, and there even some bloopers on the dvd as well. This 60 minute "Infomercial" is jam-packed with shots of the showroom, Todd’s staff, rebuilding the games, The Top Ten Reasons to Buy From Us and lots of gags too! They even toss a Ms. Pacman and a Black Knight Pinball off the roof!!

The dvd starts with a walk through of the rooms within TNT that are packed with an interesting assortment of pinball machines, videogames, and even some puck bowlers. One of the featured videogames is the “new arrangement, vol. 2” featuring stereo sound. The next videogame featured is an Atari Space Duel, one of the classic vector graphics classics. During the time the games are featured, look for little bits of cool trivia Todd slipped into this production. The next videogame featured is a Taito Jungle King. There’s even a brief moment showing probably what is the holy grail of videogames to find: Journey: the videogame. Todd then shows a brief glimpse of some pinball machines on the showroom floor, then covers Pinball 2000.

Todd covers some more pinball machines, including one pinball machine I myself have never seen working since I was a teen: Gottlieb’s Caveman. This is one of the earliest examples of video and pinball trying to work together. Gottlieb did after all have some hit videogames, like Q*bert for example, so when Caveman was released, there was little fanfare about it. Looking back though, I bet it’s quite collectible, fully restored and working. Watch Todd as he “accidentally” drops a playfield on his hand. See how upset he gets as that really hurt I would say. Oh, and kids, DON’T try that one at home.

Then it’s a brief look at shuffle alleys, and one of the different game modes inside, including “Flash”. You even see inside the games themselves. Then some foosball tables and a Super Chexx are introduced. After that, Todd introduces his two daughters, Terry and Tammy Tuckey. Tammy and Todd demonstrate a Cruisin’ USA videogame featuring force feedback steering for that realistic driving effect. After that, some brief looks at a couple more videogames, including, the 3 in 1, “class of ‘81” featuring Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man. At this point, Todd shows off his shop, where the games are fully reconditioned.

One of the main points in the restoration process includes reflowing all the loose solder joints. Todd also demonstrates the detailed restoration process in rebuilding Rudy for one of the best selling pinball machines to date, which would be Funhouse. Then we see some of the restoration steps in rebuilding a Robotron videogame. Todd then shows how a control panel is rebuilt using a brand new overlay kit. Then it’s a brief look at how the games are strapped and wrapped for shipping to anyone in the world. The next stop on this wacky tour is a look at some jukeboxes for sale. Todd shows the insides of a Rowe juke and then the wackiness begins as he leads an aerobic class inside TNT’s showroom. Then it’s back to more jukes. Watch out for the flaming 45!

The next stop is a closeup look at the Bally 1980 pinball classic, Xenon, featuring the first female voice in a pinball machine. Todd demonstrates what each board does in this game, so the average homeowner buying their first pinball machine knows what to look for if they ever need to troubleshoot their game.

Need a place to throw a birthday, reasonably priced? Look no further than TNT Amusements. No tokens required! All games are on free play. But you can’t have a birthday party without cartoons! How about a 16mm film cartoon, just like in the old days!

Don’t miss the warehouse tour! There are easily a few hundred videogames and pinball machines waiting for restoration and then off to their new homes. Check out the funky Asteroids, which was carpeted by a previous owner. Todd then covers the top 10 reasons to buy a coin-op game from TNT Amusements, including the 57 point checklist before the game leaves the showroom.

The show is almost over at this point folks, but not before a rough Ms. Pac-Man videogame and a Black Knight pinball machine is dropped from a few stories up. Next is a look at Todd Tuckey’s personal gameroom, filled with almost 60 cabaret mini coin op videogames.

The dvd concludes with some really wacky bloopers, including a videogame that catches fire after you try to insert coins.

This dvd is quite impressive in the way it was edited, and hats off to Todd Tuckey for producing this video back in 2002.
