Larry Garland And The Lost City Of Pins

DVD SALE!

It's Seven Valley, PA, just 7 miles from The York Show fairgrounds actually.

On Saturday, June 18th, 2005 and Sunday, June 26th, 2005, I came all the way from Richmond, VA to visit Larry Garland at his three story warehouse, formerly a cigar factory and then a clothing distributor.  This is the first time I made two trips to cover such a rare photo and video opportunity.  I first heard about this cool place from Jimmy Rosen, owner of Old Sled Works home of the world famous Penny Arcade, one of the few places that faithfully recreates those boardwalk arcades we all know and love from our childhood, like Coney Island and Palisades Park.

See a complete walk through at Larry's place of all three levels, starting with the 3rd floor, a warehouse loaded with rare pins from the 30's through the 50's, old kiddie rides, and other neat stuff.  See the 2nd floor, Larry and his wife's apartment, where you can see such gems like a working Telequiz trivia game, a United 10th Inning mini baseball game, and other arcade rarities.  You also get to see the shop featuring rebuilt and project classic cars, rare pins, etc. in their restoration stages and some waiting to be restored.  There's also a glimpse into the 20 ft. trailer of what couldn't fit into the warehouse, then back to the 3rd floor for another brief tour.

Here are just some of the pins you will see as you join me in walking through the warehouse:  Bowler, Crown Jewels, Junior (counter pin), Bally Round, Skooky, Midget High Ball, Piccadilly, Stormy, Yacht Club, Gizmo, Blue Skies, Paradise, Spot Pool (Williams), Rapid Transit, On Deck, Bowl-A-Line, ABC, Hot Rods, Big Broadcast, Tailgunner, Leland, and many others.........

If you see this stuff everyday, then please DON'T buy this dvd.  But for those who can't make it to Larry's place and love rare pre 60's pins, this tour is for you.  35 minutes running time.

Recorded using mini dv tapes as the source, then transferred to dvd, dolby digital, this has gotta be one of the most unusual warehouse tours you will ever see. So go ahead, ORDER NOW.  Be sure to include your name, address, and how many copies want.  Operators are most certainly standing by.

You won't walk away empty handed at Larry's place. I didn't.
