AUCTION GAMES SALES

RICHMOND, VA AUCTION

RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

DECEMBER, 2006

Many pinball collectors I've known over the years have said pinball shows are great, but I also needed to go to arcade equipment auctions.  Until now, the closest ones to Virginia have been in North Carolina and Tennessee.  Well, a good friend of mine, Mike Tolley, from Lexington, VA, who I see at The York Show and The Allentown Pinball Wizards Convention, told me last fall that there would be an auction coming to Richmond International Raceway in December.  This was the first time to the best of my knowledge an arcade equipment auction would be so close to home so how could I refuse?

It was a busy weekend to say the least.  We checked out what was coming in on Friday, December 6th, at the raceway, then on Saturday morning two buyers stopped by my house to pick up some pins and vids I had just sold in an effort to thin out the collection a bit, and it was back to the auction after lunch to buy more stuff!

Be sure to check out Auction Game Sales' site to see if they are coming to a town near you!

Day 1:  Friday afternoon.  I already owned enough pins for now, so anything was possible at this point, like.......a cabaret GORF!:)

GORF was not leveled properly, but that was ok.  It was going home with me no matter what, or so I thought.

Mike Tolley (pardon the camera red eye), brought Bride Of Pinbot and Secret Service.  I had my eye on Secret Service, a cool Data East pin, but had a feeling it was going to be out of my budget...and it was, going for around $875.  In a nutshell, the pins sold on the high side and the vids were bargains galore, with quite an assortment to choose from as we will soon see.

The pins are now set up, early in the afternoon, with a few more arriving from other sellers later.
